About Me
Growing up, my grandfather affectionately nicknamed each of his ten grandchildren, and mine is "je ne sais quoi," meaning "an element that one can't quite put their finger on, an unnamable quality that is good." He still calls me that to this day, and through my work as an interior designer, I've learned that this phrase follows me through my life both personally and professionally. People's relation to a space and the feelings that arise while experiencing their surroundings is a culmination of design principles, elements and techniques that they cannot identify in most cases. A good interior designer knows how to marry these qualities so that they are not individually distinguishable, but recognized as a comprehensive entity that creates an immersive, enjoyable atmosphere. The best interior designers create the sense of je ne sais quoi in each space they cultivate.
